Pergola Restoration That Made a Tired Backyard Structure Worth Keeping

Solid bones, but years of exposure had done a number on the wood. Our approach was to rebuild it properly - fresh framing, clean cuts, and decorative beam ends that give the whole structure a polished, intentional look.

The stain is where things really came together. A warm, rich tone across all the new lumber does two things at once - it protects the wood from the elements and makes the whole structure look like it belongs there. Next to that Japanese maple and against the stone wall backdrop, it genuinely looks like it was designed to be a focal point, not just a forgotten backyard feature.
